                                          56 > 40 24 < 30

To compare between numbers, first; line up the digits of each

number, then compare starting from the left.

               ExamplE Compare between 452 and 651. 452
Each number has 3 digits, so compare
                                                                                                      651
                       (2) starting from the left.
                                      Since 4 is less than 6, so 452 < 651

                                     Compare between 763 and 743. 763
ExamplE Each number has 3 digits, so compare

                     (2) starting from the left. 743
Since the hundreds are equal, go to the tens.

                                     Since 6 is greater than 4, so 763 > 743
