(1-3) Rounding Numbers.

We round numbers up to estimate the closest number of a
                possible answer.

Example: how many students are there in your school? You
may not know the exact number of students, but you can
                estimate a close answer.

                                       How can I round

                                       276,341 to the

                                       nearest 10-thousands?

Step 1: find the place that I am rounding to.

Step 2: look at the digit to the right of this place.

Step 3: if the digit is less than 5, leave the digit in
the rounding place as it is.
If the digit is 5 or greater add 1 to the digit in
               the rounding place.

Step 4: change the digits to the right of the
               rounding place to zeros.

Round the numbers to the underlined place value.
