(1-6) The Least Common Multiple (LCM).
The Least Common Multiple (LCM) of a group of numbers is
the lowest number that can be divided by each number in
the group, without leaving a remainder.
Example:
To find the LCM of the numbers 3, 6 and 8
list the multiples of each number, and select
the smallest number common to each.
Step 1: Multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30,...
Step 2: Multiples of 6 are 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36...
Step 3: Multiples of 8 are 8, 16, 24, 32...
LCM= 24
