Experimental Probability and Theoretical Probability

Experimental Probability is found by repeating an

                     experiment and observing the outcomes.

number of times an event occurs
                     P (event)
                                              total number of trials

Example: A coin is tossed 10 times:

A head is recorded 7 times and a tail 3 times.

                                                    7
                                     P (head)= P (tail)= 3
                                                   10 10

Theoretical Probability is what is expected to happen bassed on

              mathematics.

                               number of favorable outcomes
              P (event)
                                         number of trials

                        Example:
                        Example 1 :

                A coin is tossed.
                                1
                P (head)= 2

                P (tail)= 1
                             2
