General Manager of Ghad Al-Ajyal Publishing and Distribution House: We aspire to reach the widest possible audience in the Arab world with our publications.
Sada Al-Shaab newspaper met with Mr. Zaid Al-Talawi, General Manager of Ghad Al-Ajyal Publishing and Distribution House. Mr. Al-Talawi praised and thanked the newspaper for its interest and encouragement in disseminating culture and knowledge to all segments of society.
Given Ghad Al-Ajyal's distinction, experience, and high level of competence in the field of publishing and distribution, the newspaper decided to meet with him and conduct an interview:
Sada Al-Shaab: When was this publishing house established, and what was its purpose?
Mr. Al-Talawi: The publishing house was established at the beginning of 2018. Its purpose was to spread knowledge and education among our school students by raising their awareness, educating them, and providing them with the latest editions of school textbooks.
Sada Al-Shaab: What activities do you undertake that are related to your field of work?
Al-Talawi: Our activities are educational and cultural, and include the following:
• Participating in book fairs in Middle Eastern countries, both in Jordan and abroad, such as in the Gulf countries. Our work and participation in these fairs relate to books for kindergarten and primary school levels.
• Conducting workshops on explaining teaching methods, curriculum content, and how to teach them effectively to ensure they are presented to our students correctly and efficiently.
• Holding conferences to discuss the latest publications from our publishing house and upcoming releases, with the participation of our partners.
Sada Al-Shaab: What are your future aspirations and ambitions?
Al-Talawi: We aspire to find distributors outside Jordan to distribute our publications and reach the widest possible audience in the Arab world.
We also aim to keep abreast of the latest developments in the publishing and distribution industry, especially those related to children, who are our primary focus.
We also look forward to expanding our operations by adding foreign partners and introducing them to the Jordanian market, fostering close and continuous cooperation.
Sada Al-Shaab: Tell us about your publications? Al-Talawi: We have KG1 and KG2 books in both Arabic and English, which cover arithmetic and related skills, as well as Arabic language and Islamic education. We also have publications for the primary level, from first to sixth grade, including computer books in both Arabic and English, mathematics in English, and social studies and science curricula in English. Our publications are distinguished by being approved by the Ministry of Education (Curriculum Department) and registered with the National Library.
Sada Al-Shaab: Finally, what about your participation in the 19th Amman International Book Fair?
Al-Talawi: The publishing house will participate in the Amman International Book Fair, which will be held from Thursday, September 26th to October 5th, 2019. It will be inaugurated under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, may God protect him. We will, God willing, play an active role by meeting and welcoming visitors from participating Arab countries.
