Darghad Al-Ajyal participates in the Sharjah International Book Fair

Dar Ghad Al-Ajyal Publishing and Distribution, a Jordanian publishing house, participated in the 38th Sharjah International Book Fair, which opened on October 30 and ran until November 9, 2019, at Expo Centre Sharjah, under the slogan “Open a Book… Open Minds.”

The publishing house extends its sincere thanks and gratitude to the United Arab Emirates in general, and in particular to the Emirate of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the Sharjah Book Fair management for hosting publishing houses, encouraging a culture of reading, supporting and developing publishers' capabilities, and enriching the publishing and translation movement in the Arab world and beyond.

The publishing house also thanks Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Emirates Publishers Association, for her extensive interest in children's culture, family development, and women's empowerment.

The publishing house also appreciates the steps taken by the Arab Publishers Association for their cooperation, facilities, and services provided to Arab publishers.

The publishing house's participation in the exhibition stemmed from its belief in the importance of books and reading, and that holding such exhibitions preserves the value and significance of books and their prominent role in human development and learning, as well as facilitating the exchange of knowledge and dialogue among participants from around the world.

The publishing house was also keen to learn about the latest works produced and created by thinkers and intellectuals in the field of children's literature, and the newest books released by various printing presses and publishing houses. It also aimed to attract new clients and establish and strengthen close relationships with other publishing houses.

The publishing house's participation was within the children's section of the exhibition, where it ensured that its publications reached the widest possible audience from around the world. The exhibition witnessed a large and diverse turnout of thousands of visitors.

The publishing house's publications focused on kindergarten and primary school levels, and included titles in Arabic language, mathematics, science, computer science, and Islamic education, available in both Arabic and English. These included student books and workbooks. To complement its English-language offerings, the publishing house also released the book "AQUA, MATH, SCIENCE."
